Thee Paws and Claws family is made up of a small group of deicated volunteers; we have no paid staff. We volunteers foster out of our private homes along with maintaining our full-time employment. Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a shelter facility.

We understand the excitement that is involved in finding a new furry friend for families, and we make every attempt to accommodate each and every one. We will respond to your application within 3 to 5 days. Filling in this form is the first step in the adoption process. We do not give out the addresses of our private homes until the application is fully approved by our board. You can speed this process by filling in our application thoroughly. Please avoid answering "not applicable".

Once you have been approved, we will arrange for you to meet our puppies/ kitties. Our goal is finding the “right fit” for each of our furry foster placements! We simply ask for your patience and understanding during the adoption process.

We recommend that you enroll your puppy in obedience training as early as possible. From the moment you bring a dog home you can work on and enforce good manners. Most behaviors can be modified, we recommend that you consult a professional trainer and take the time to work with the dog, don’t wait until you are frustrated to the point of not wanting to keep your pet. Please call us if circumstances dictate that you must find a new home for a Paws and Claws dog or cat. I understand that NO fees are refunded if I have to re-home my dog. We will make every effort to work with you to find another suitable home. Paws and Claws volunteers foster out of our private homes and we have our own dogs and cats, as well as foster puppies to take care of, so we are usually not able to take the dog or cat back into our care. In very rare circumstances we will consider taking an animal back into the foster care system to re-home. I understand NO fees are refunded in this circumstance either.
