Bartok

August 14, 2009

Bartok has started approaching some of the visitors to her yard! She is really starting to come out of her frightened shell.

Bartok is going to be spayed next week!

July 22, 2009- Bartok is located in Red Deer, Alberta. Bartok adores other dogs. She is particularly interested in the puppies being fostered at the same location.

Bartok is a gentle, gentle girl. Even at her most frightened, she was never violent. She will now take duck jerky from our hands, and allows herself to be petted.

We introduced Bartok to cats, and she behaved beautifully, even though she was perplexed by such odd creatures. She now adores cats too!

She now gives her foster mom hand-kisses!

July 4, 2009- Bartok is a sweet girl, but currently very, very scared. We had to trap her to catch her. Someone has abused her in the past. She strayed into a kind family's yard who fed her, and asked us to take her into care.

Bartok has big feet, long, soft, brindle, fuzzy hair, and a full tail. She is about 4.5 months old. She will soon be spayed. We are guessing that she is a pyrenees/ shepherd/ who-knows-what cross.

We are working to calm Bartok's fears, and teaching her that hands can be kind.

Bartok is up-to-date with routine shots.
