Kelston

August 14, 2010

Kelston is located in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. We think she may have border collie in her, since she is delicate and graceful, but beyond that we've no clue what breeds are in her mix.

This lovely mid-sized dog is just finishing nursing her five week old puppies (all female). She is a mix of many breeds. She will be spayed before we will adopt her out.

This sweet girl is a very grateful dog. She was being starved where she was found; her "owner" didn't want her around, and would not feed her, trying to make her go away. She and her babies were dehydrated and emaciated. They have all bounced back, happily.

Her babies need to remain with Kelston until they are at least eight weeks old. She has much to teach them yet.

Kelston is so happy to have food and water that she does not want to leave her run. She likes to roll and scratch her belly on the grass. She is a very submissive dog.

Pictures of Kelston's babies and their profiles coming soon!
